Polycab solar DC cable
EN 50618 H1Z2Z2-K photovoltaic cable rated 1.5 kV DC, in red and black, from 1.5 to 300 sq mm.
The DC cable between panels and inverter sits on a hot roof in sun and rain for 25 years, so it needs to be proper photovoltaic cable, not ordinary PVC wire. Polycab's H1Z2Z2-K cable is built to EN 50618 with a tinned copper conductor and electron-beam cross-linked, halogen-free insulation that resists UV and ozone.
Polycab has made solar DC cable since 2012 and is India's largest wire and cable manufacturer. Most rooftop strings use 4 sq mm or 6 sq mm; larger sizes are available for C&I and utility projects. Current ratings above are from Polycab's catalogue at 60 °C ambient.

Common questions
4 sq mm or 6 sq mm for a home rooftop?
4 sq mm is usually enough for short residential string runs. For long runs from roof to inverter, or high-current TOPCon panels, 6 sq mm reduces voltage drop and losses.
Why not use ordinary PVC cable for DC?
Standard PVC cable is not rated for 1.5 kV DC or long-term UV and heat exposure. EN 50618 solar cable is designed for 25+ years on the roof and is what inspectors expect to see.
