The Polycab PHIS-ESUQ series is a single phase hybrid inverter: it runs the solar panels, charges a 48 V battery and connects to the grid, all from one box. When the grid fails, it switches the backup loads to battery and solar in under 4 ms, so fans, lights, the fridge and Wi-Fi keep running.
That makes it a good fit for homes in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal where power cuts are still common, and for shops and clinics that would otherwise run a conventional inverter or a diesel generator. The same unit can also export surplus solar to the grid where the DISCOM allows net metering with a hybrid system.

Common questions
Which battery works with the Polycab single phase hybrid inverter?
Any 48 V lithium-ion or lead-acid battery in the 40–60 V range is supported. With the Polycab 5 kWh LFP battery the inverter warranty is 10 years; with another battery it is 5 years.
Can I use it for a PM Surya Ghar system?
The PM Surya Ghar subsidy is calculated on the solar panel capacity, not the inverter, so a hybrid system can qualify as long as the panels are DCR and your DISCOM approves the net-metering arrangement. Confirm the meter set-up with NBPDCL, SBPDCL, JBVNL or your DISCOM before installation.
How many panels can I connect?
The inverter accepts up to twice its rated power in solar (for example up to 6 kW of panels on the 3 kW model), within the 600 V and 20 A per-MPPT limits on the datasheet.
